" I've had the plaesure of driving over the old bridge before they tore it down. The new bridge is very nice, but West Hickory stuck in my mind because of the old bridge. "

" On behalf of www.historicbridges.org I would like to offer the people of Harmony Township condolences on the loss of their beautiful historic West Hickory Bridge. Although not in the way of replacement, PennDOT insisted on demolishing this priceless, stunning historic artifact that was such a compliment to the gorgeous Allegheny River valley. I had the pleasure of traveling to visit this bridge two times prior to its demolition. PennDOT should have preserved this bridge for pedestrian use next to its replacement. "

" Any new bridge pictures? We have a camp there and were wondering if we can still catch a glimpse of the old one before it's gone. "

" This is a great idea for the Township. Great place to post information. I suggest keeping folks updated on the sewage project, bridge construction, road maintenance as well as posting your township monthly meetings.

You may want to check into the  local Real Estate companies that have web sites as well. They may be interested in paying the township to add the link.
